CTET 2023 NOTIFICATION IS OUT

CTET 2023 notification is out. In this article information about CTET 2023 Application Form, Exam Dates, Pattern & Eligibility is mentioned.

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted by CBSE. It’s a teacher eligibility test conducted twice a year in July and December. Its state level exam is conducted in offline mode. The application mode is offline. The time duration is 2 hours 30 minutes for each paper. The date of the exam is yet to be announced.

NOTIFICATION AND VACANCY FOR CTET 2023   EXAM

CBSE releases all the notifications and announcements regarding CTET exam on its official website. The notification and announcement files are available in both Hindi and English in pdf format named ‘Information Bulletin’. An official vacancy is not released by CBSE. The vacancies are released by public and private schools including those under the jurisdiction of States, central government, and union territories declare vacancies before or post the exam. There are different posts available under this exam which are Primary Teacher (PRT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), and more. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA CTET FOR 2023 EXAM

The eligibility criteria are different for given posts

For Primary Teacher for which one has to crack Paper I and posses following:

Must have Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) certificate with at least 50% marks and pass or appear in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education/4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Must have Senior Secondary Secondary (or its equivalent) certificate with at least 45% marks and pass or appear in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR
Must have Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) certificate with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR 
Candidates must be a Graduate with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” are now eligible for becoming Teachers for Classes I-V: Primary Stage. It is mandatory for such Candidates to undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as a primary teacher.

OR

Post-Graduation candidate with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

For Secondary Teacher for which one has to crack Paper II and possess following:

Must possess a Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) certificate with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

Passes graduate or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

Must be a Graduate with at least 50% marks and must have passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)/B.Ed. (Special Education).

OR

Must be a Graduate with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).

OR

Any candidate who has qualified B.Ed Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET.

OR

Post-Graduate with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

Age eligibility: 17 to older.

Nationality: Indian

APPLICATION PROCESS FOR CTET 2023 EXAM

Candidates can online apply for CTET 2023. Application will require prior registration on the official site. In case, candidate wants to correct the details that he filled, he/she has to submit corrections before the deadline given in the notification bulletin. The following points should be taken into notice and carried out by the candidates before filling out the application form.

  • Register on the official site (www.ctet.nic.in) 
  • Then, Login with the registered credentials
  • Prepare required documents including a scanned photograph of file size 4KB -100KB, scanned signature of candidate of file size 1KB – 25KB in JPG format
  •  Get a printout of the filled CTET application form .

EXAM PATTERN

  • The questions will be in the MCQ Format.
  • The time given for attempting the examination will be for two and a half hours for Paper I and the other 2 and a half hours for Paper II.
  • The paper will consist of 150 questions with 150 marks.
  •  +1 mark will be given for each correct answer.
  • There will be no negative marking.
