UBI PROMOTION EXAM DATE:- Bank Promotion is a process through which a banker is given higher share of duties and compensating him for the higher responsibilities with a higher pay-scale. Every bank has its own promotion policy which commonly stipulates 3 to 4 years to promote the employees to the next level. Almost every year promotion process is conducted by every bank. 

The process of Internal Promotion consists of 2 steps:

• Written test
• Interview

Promotion in Public Sector Banks is done through written tests which are usually conducted by IIBF, through the mechanism of computer-based objective type tests. 

Up to some extent, the pattern of questions and type of questions for the Bank Promotions Exams remains same for all scales be it Scale- 0 to Scale I, Scale I to II, Scale II to III, Scale III to IV, or Scale-IV to V, but as the scales get high, the degree of difficulty level also increases.

WHY YOU SHOULD WRITE INTERNAL BANK PROMOTION EXAMS?

As a clerk, you were enjoying working in your home state. Once got promoted as an Officer, there are chances that you were posted somewhere far from home. Shifting states takes away a large chunk of the salary in the form of Rental expense, food & travelling expenses. And if you have your family living with you, then that portion of your salary would be larger.

So, there is no question as to why should you not be writing the internal promotion exams when you know they have so much to offer!

• Prestige: Raise in scale leads to higher respect & admiration. And having had that promotion through the merit or fast track makes it more meaningful.

• Increment in Salary: Promotion is one way to get an increase in your salary. Now, there is no explaining what an increased salary could be helpful.

• Allowances: There are also different allowances that you get when you shift to the position of an Officer of a higher scale as that gets you allowances such as Dearness Allowances (DA), HRA, Medical Aid, City Compensatory Allowance, and many more.
• Perquisites: They are an extra benefit apart from the regular salary. It may include newspaper allowance, medical allowances, and travel allowances, house & furniture allowance to maintain the house maintenance and laundry.

UNION BANK PROMOTION EXAM NOTIFICATION:

Union Bank of India had issued an official notification for the promotion process of Clerical staff to Officer Cadre (JMGS-1) on the 25th of October 2021. Union Bank had announced a total of 597 vacancies under State Services (Seniority cum Merit) Channel & 427 under all India Services (Merit) Channel.

UBI EXAM DATE:

The tests for UBIs promotion process (Clerical to Officer [Scale-I]) is 05.12.2021

REGISTRATION DATE:

The eligible employees of Union Bank could have applied for this test from the 26th of October to the 6th of November this year.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Following is the eligibility criteria that has been prescribed by Union Bank for the promotion process: 

Applicants who were found to be eligible would have gotten their call letters separately for appearing in the test.

UBI PROMOTION EXAMS (CLERK to OFFICER JMGS-I):

ONLINE TEST: Exam Pattern under State Service Channel

*Minimum Qualifying Marks prescribed for SC or ST or PWD will be 30% in each of the subjects.

Note: 

• Candidates can choose to write both Commercial Law & Accounting. 
• Candidates just need to qualify the English Paper as its marks will not be counted for ranking purpose.
• Candidates will get a maximum of 25 marks for Past Service, Experience, Rural Service, Educational or Banking Qualifications, etc.
• Mention the weightage in respective fields in the application form.
• You should also invariably mention details of disciplinary action, if any, that have been contemplated/pending against you in the respective field.
