Module A – RURAL INDIA
Module A is divided into the following units containing the below matters:
Demographic features such as Population, vocation, literacy, socio-economic development indicators, nutrition and education, health, urban migration are covered here.
Aspects of Rural Society like Caste and control structure, rural social stratification, its Economic Attributes i.e Economic life, share in National income, Trends in per capita income, rural money markets, rural indebtedness, rural deprivation – its main reasons and modes of measuring the same.
Rural infrastructure such as Transport, Power, Markets and other services are covered in this unit.
Agriculture Economy comprising its Structure and attributes of Indian agriculture, its Role of agriculture in economic development, agriculture-industry linkages, latest Resources and technical transformations in agriculture, limitations to agriculture development, some of the Emerging issues in Indian Agriculture are discussed in this unit.
This unit contains Rural Development Policy comprises the Govt. guidelines and agendas for rural farm and non-farm sectors & Economic reforms and its influence on rural economy.
Then the unit talks about the Rural Issues related to Management, Development, Marketing, & Pricing.
RURAL BANKING Module B
Financing Rural Development
The Module B is categorised into following units containing the below matters:
Unit covers Services like Regulation of Rural Financial; Process and guidelines of RBI in Rural Banking, NABARD Main roles, refinance support and some matters of Lead bank approach, State level & District Level Credit committees, etc.
Different organizations involved in the growth of Rural Areas like Rural Credit Institutions; Land Development Banks, Co-operative Credit Societies and Banks, RRBs, Commercial Banks etc. can be seen here & as well as the Role of Information and communication technologies in rural Banking-Models, Financial inclusion & inclusive evolution for rural development banking, rural insurance micro-insurance scheme, the concept of BC & BFs in rural financing etc.
You will get to know more about Financing farming and its allied activities; Crop Loans Assessment, approval, Disbursement, re-phasement; Term loans for irrigation, Farm automation, Godowns/cold-storage facilities etc. Financing allied agriculture activities such as social forestry, Horticulture, Fisheries etc. Finance against Warehouse/cold warehouse receipts etc.
