Dear bankers,
CAIIB is an exam which can be given by candidates who have cleared JAIIB and are a member of IIBF. CAIIB is held twice a year by IIBF. This exam includes two mandatory papers of ABM and BFM along with one elective paper. It depends totally on the candidate which subject they choose out of the six options we have for elective exam – retail banking, central banking, information technology, human resource management, risk management and rural banking. In this article we are going to discuss the study material that we provide so as to help you out with the preparation for CAIIB EXAM 2024 along with giving you an idea about system resiliency tools and techniques.

Security Controls and Guidelines
Security controls are settings that an organisation uses to secure colorful types of data and structure. A security control is any safeguard or countermeasure that’s used to help, descry, offset, or alleviate security pitfalls to physical property, information, computer systems, or other means. Data security controls are more pivotal than ever ahead, given the rising liability of cyberattacks.
Types of security controls
There are several types of security controls that can be enforced to cover tackle, software, networks, and data from conduct and events that could beget loss or damage. For illustration
Physical security controls include similar effects as data center border fencing, cinches, guards, access control cards, biometric access control systems, surveillance cameras, and intrusion discovery detectors.
Digital security controls include similar effects as usernames and watchwords, two- factor authentication, antivirus software, and firewalls.
Cybersecurity controls include anything specifically designed to help attacks on data, including DDoS mitigation, and intrusion forestallment systems.
Pall security controls include measures you take in cooperation with a pall services provider to insure the necessary protection for data and work loads. However, you must meet their commercial or business policy security conditions and assiduity regulations, If your association runs workloads on the pall.
Systems of security controls, including the processes and attestation defining perpetration and ongoing operation of these controls, are appertained to as fabrics or norms
- A well- developed frame ensures that an association does the following
- Enforces IT security programs through security controls
- Educates workers and druggies about security guidelines
- Meets assiduity and compliance regulations
- Achieves functional effectiveness across security controls
Continually assesses pitfalls and addresses them through security controls
A security result is only as strong as its weakest link. You should, thus, consider multiple layers of security controls( which is also known as a defense- in- depth strategy) to apply security controls across identity and access operation, data, operations, network or garçon structure, physical security, and security intelligence.
System Resiliency Tools and Techniques
System resilience (also known as system resiliency) has been widely addressed as a crucial topic during the last decade, particularly in the context of data centres and cloud computing. Although the word is less widely used in that domain, it is similarly critical to cyber-physical systems. Everyone wants their systems to be resilient, but what exactly does this imply? What is the relationship between resilience and other quality attributes like availability, reliability, robustness, safety, security, and survivability? Is resilience a part of one or more of these qualities, a subset of them, or something else entirely? We must first know the answers to these questions and grasp exactly what system resilience is if we are to ensure that systems are robust.
What Constitutes Resilience in a System?
In general, a system is robust if it continues to carry out its objective despite difficulties (i.e., if it provides required capabilities despite excessive stresses that can cause disruptions). Being robust is critical because, no matter how well-engineered a system is, reality will conspire to disrupt it sooner or later. The system will eventually fail to execute a necessary function or achieve one or more of its quality standards due to residual faults in the software or hardware (e.g., availability, capacity, interoperability, performance, reliability, robustness, safety, security, and usability). Accidents can happen because of a lack of or failure of precaution.
