CAIIB NOV 2023 EXAM – INTRODUCTION OF REVISED SYLLABUS

Indian Institute of Banking and Finance has revised the syllabus of its flagship course i.e CAIIB. IIBF announced the revision of syllabus of its Exams of Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers through the notification issued on its official website.

REVISED SYLLABUS EXAM

As the Banking and Finance sector saw waves of changes in the last decade with the technological advances & introduction of alternate banking channels as well as increased regulatory prescriptions by various regulators and the increased competition, IIBF saw the banking sector do a paradigm shift.

Seeing the need to update in this regard IIBF saw the need to discharge current & relevant information to the bankers.  So, a need was felt to shift the focus of CAIIB course from basic knowledge gathering to developing and enhancing concept-based skills. To keep up with the developments and to ensure greater value addition to the IIBF flagship courses, the syllabus of CAIIB has been restructured to make it more conceptual and contemporary.

THE REVISION OR CHANGE IN CAIIB 2023:-

IMPLEMENTATION OF REVISED CAIIB 2023 SYLLABUS

The CAIIB syllabus that is introduced under the revised scheme is for the examinations that are to be held from May 2023 onwards as per the latest clarification issued by IIBF.

The last exams under CAIIB as per the old syllabus (i.e present syllabus) will be held during November 2023 after which, the exams under the old syllabus will be discontinued. 

CAIIB exams from May 2023 onwards will be held as per the revised syllabus only.

Q. I am preparing for NOV 2023 CAIIB Exams. Do I have to prepare for the exams under revised syllabus?

No, CAIIB Exams for June 2023 will be conducted under old syllabus.

Q. I am preparing for November / December 2023 CAIIB Exams. Do I have to prepare for the exams under the revised syllabus?

Because IIBF hasn’t confirmed the applicability of New syllabus yet, it is safe to say that old syllabus of CAIIB will be applicable for December 2023 

Q. I plan to prepare for June 2023 CAIIB Exams. Do I have to prepare for the exams under the revised syllabus?

You can expect the CAIIB Exams that are to be conducted in June 2023 will be as per the Revised Syllabus.
