INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND DIGITAL BANKING STUDY MATERIAL:- The Certified Associates of Indian Institute of Bankers, popularly known by CAIIB, is a second-level examination after JAIIB which generally gets conducted in the months of June & December every year by IIBF. There are a total of 5 papers that are required to be cleared under the said Exam of which one is optional i.e Paper 1: ABM – Advanced Bank Management, Paper 2: BFM – Bank Financial Management, Paper: ABFM- Advanced Business and Financial management, Paper 4: BRBL- Banking regulations and business laws and Paper 5 is the elective paper that could be chosen from the 5 available options of which information technology and digital banking is one option.

IIBF | CAIIB | INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY & DIGITAL BANKING

The 3rd optional paper (In this article, the 3rd option is referred to as Information technology & Digital banking), introduces the candidates to concepts of information technology & Digital banking such as IT’s impact, software that is used to do banking, computer languages, computer software, networks and data communication; Systems & Designs such as the models, life cycle of software development, data mining tools etc; Banking applications including the delivery channels, e-mails & alerts, service-level agreement; Security, Controls and Guidelines that informs about the threats to the system, measures of security & delivery & support. 

All this forms the part of the syllabus of IT that is currently (2023) applicable for the CAIIB (Revised CAIIB syllabus is proposed to be applicable from either November 2023 or May 2024, though it’s not yet final)
