📌 What is Cash Flow?

Cash flow simply means the movement of cash & cash equivalents in and out of a business.

  • Cash Inflow 💰: Money coming into the business (e.g., sales revenue, loan proceeds, investment gains).
  • Cash Outflow 💸: Money leaving the business (e.g., payments for rent, salaries, loan repayments).

📌 Components of Cash Flow Statement

A cash flow statement (CFS) is divided into three key sections:

  • Operating Activities: Revenue from sales, Payment for raw materials, Salaries & wages
  • Investing Activities: Buying/selling fixed assets, Investments in stocks & securities
  • Financing Activities: Issuing shares/debentures, Borrowing or repaying loans
