Most of us have one question in mind what is JAIIB and CAIIB. What are the benefits of doing it? Without knowing the benefits no one of us will opt. so here we are sharing what is JAIIB and CAIIB and what benefits they give.

WHAT IS JAIIB?

JAIIB stands for junior associate of the Indian Institute of bankers and this exam is for bankers or finance professionals and this exam is conducted by IIBF i.e. Indian institute of banking and finance. This exam is conducted twice a year. Held in May and June and then in November and December.

So, coming up to the question that why JAIIB is conducted by IIBF in India?

We all know that JAIIB leads the benefit bankers but anybody who does really know why the institute conducts exams will write the JAIIB 2023 Exams.

So, the main aim for conducting the JAIIB exam is to give basic level knowledge related to banking and financial services, banking technology, customer relations, basic accountancy, and necessary legal aspects which are required in day-to-day banking. Knowledge of these aspects should make working as a banker easy. To provide knowledge of these aspects IIBF conducts JAIIB 2023 Exams. When you go through the JAIIB syllabus there your knowledge will enhance which every bank expects to render the knowledge of being a banker.

What is CAIIB?

CAIIB stands for certified associate of the Indian Institute of bankers. And here if we talk about CAIIB, so this exam has the main aim, i.e., to provide advanced knowledge in banking when it comes to decision-making that knowledge comes from CAIIB whereas JAIIB only provides you the basic knowledge.

Which exam to be given first?

So here, the first exam which you have to give is JAIIB. When you will clear the JAIIB then only you will be eligible to give CAIIB. Forgiving JAIIB and CAIIB you first have to become a member of IIBF.

Benefits of JAIIB AND CAIIB

So here consider it as a clerical and officer level. We are here to tell you the benefits to the bankers at both the clerical level and officer levels.

So here for the bankers who work hard and clear the exams lead them to monetary benefit. If you are clearing JAIIB and CAIIB You are having monetary benefit. If you are clearing JAIIB you are having an increment in one salary. And if clerical staff clears the CAIIB exam, he /she can have double the increment in their salary. On the other side if at the officer level, he/she clears the CAIIB exam will get only one increment in their salary.

So here is the conclusion of the monetary benefit of clearing JAIIB and CAIIB at the clerical level, we have a total of three increments in salary whereas at the officer level we have only two increments in salary.

And these increments will remain till the banker’s retirement. If you calculate to the increment of salary so it will be near to 70-80 lakhs which is a big profit to your salary after qualifying for both JAIIB and CAIIB.

JAIIB and CAIIB not only gives you monetary benefit there are many other benefits of qualifying for both JAIIB and CAIIB. Here when you go for giving bank promotion exam in that case many banks have policies that if you have qualified both JAIIB AND CAIIB so here in bank promotion paper you get 5-10 marks extra. And then when you go for an interview to the management and you have been cleared both JAIIB & CAIIB you will get the preference of been selected for the promotion.

JAIIB EXAM PATTERN

• The mode of the JAIIB exam will be online.

• Each exam will have 120 multiple-choice questions.
• The JAIIB exam duration is 2 hours for each paper.

JAIIB EXAM PASSING CRITERIA

• The candidate has to have a minimum of 50 marks out of 100.
• The candidate can have 45 marks with an aggregate of 50% in all subjects, provided he/she obtains the marks in one attempt.

CAIIB EXAM PATTERN 2023

CAIIB exam patterns have been released by IIBF. For information, aspirants can go through the CAIIB syllabus 2023 and CAIIB exam pattern 2023 in the article.

The CAIIB exam 2023 consists of five papers, in which four papers are compulsory and one paper is elective. The key points of the CAIIB exam pattern are as follows;

• The CAIIB examination is conducted in an online mode
• Each paper carries 100 multiple-choice questions of 100 marks.
• The time duration allotted to complete each paper is 2 hours
• The exam paper will be bilingual i.e. both in English and Hindi language.
• There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer of 1 mark each (1/4 of the MCQs’ maximum marks)

CAIIB 2023 PASSING CRITERIA

The minimum mark to pass is 50/ 100. The candidates should score 45 in each subject with an aggregate of 50% marks in all the subjects. The candidates will be allowed to retain their credits for the subjects they have passed till the expiry of the time limit for qualifying for the exam.

CAIIB 2023 ELIGIBILITY

The members who have completed JAIIB or part 1 of the associate examination can appear for this exam.

The membership subscription of members should have no dues.

JAIIB EXAM ELIGIBILITY

• Candidates must be members of IIFB to give the JAIIB exam. This applies to anyone working in financial institutes and banks whose employers are members of IIBF.
• Candidates should clear the 12th standards board exam from any stream. A clerical bank employee whose has not passed the 12th standard exam can also appear for the JAIIB exam. In this case, conditions the bank manager has to sign a recommendation for him /her to appear for the exam.
