MSME EXAM NOTIFICATION:- Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) have been the focal point of attention in India recently, taking into account their strategic importance of them to the economy & the country.

The availability of sources of finance & having access to these sources are crucial factors to promote the growth of MSMEs. But because of lack of awareness of funding schemes among MSME entrepreneurs & the limited role of venture capitalists, non-banking financial companies, angel investors, foreign banks, and IPOs in financing the MSMEs, therefore, both availability & accessibility of finance to MSMEs pose enough of a challenge.

Taking the above fact into consideration that banks are the predominant source of finance in India, RBI includes micro and small enterprises in the list of priority lending sectors. Banks are also recommended to achieve a prescribed growth %age in credit to micro and small enterprises & in the microenterprise accounts (numbers). 

To help in implementing these policies, the course on MSME attempts to familiarize the bankers with incentives & schemes that are available for the MSMEs and to make the small entrepreneurs aware of them.

MSME EXAM

IIBF conducts the examination known as ‘Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises’ that equips the bankers with insight into the various dimensions of MSME Finance.

IIBF conducts the MSME Exam on the predetermined dates that get announced on the official site of IIBF.

On clearing the MSME examination you will be certified as CCC or Certified Credit Counselors. And such candidates who get recommendations from SIDBI will be getting a joint certificate from IIBF & SIDBI.

As the May MSME have just ended, IIBF will announce the exam dates for the MSME Exams for the upcoming MSME Exams soon & will be given down below:

MSME ELIGIBILITY 2024

Any member or non-member of the institute can write the MSME exam. He or she just needs to have passed their 12th exam in any stream or its equivalent;

or 

who has cleared the BC/BF (Business Correspondents/Facilitators) examination of IIBF?

Therefore, whoever is desirous of working in the bank or is dealing in MSME Finance in their work department, can write this exam.
