CAIIB HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SYLLABUS 2022:
IIBF will be starting the registrations for its CAIIB (flagship course of IIBF) soon for the Nov 2022 attempt. IIBF had already announced the registration dates on its official website for the CAIIB Exams i.e September 30, 2022. The CAIIB NOV registrations will end by October 20, 2022. So, if you plan to write the Nov 2022 Exams of CAIIB (remember this might be the last chance to write the exams as per the old CAIIB syllabus 2022).
And for the CAIIB candidates who have chosen the RISK MANAGEMENT as an elective paper, then they must go through the Risk Management Study Material for the CAIIB 2022 that has been prepared by Learning Sessions’ Expert Faculty.

CAIIB HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT APPLICABLE SYLLABUS FOR NOV 2022
MODULE – A: Human Resources Management (CAIIB HRM – A)
Concepts, Policies, and Practices:
This unit contains concepts related to Policies and Practices of HRM; Importance of Human Capital, Management of transformation, new insights into Human Resource Management and contemporary issues, Relationship b/w HRM (Management) and HRD (Development); Structure & Functions, Role of HRD professional, Development of HRM in India etc. are discussed in this unit in detail.
Behavioral Dynamics in organizations:
This unit tries to explain the Behavioral Dynamics working in the organizations; Person-job (PJ) fit, Group Dynamics, Group Problem Solving and its effectiveness, Leadership and Team building, Change Management, Human Response – Implications of benchmarking; Total Quality Management (TQM), ISO 9000 Series, Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), and other techniques for Organizational improvement and Management of Service Industry; Quality Circles. Six Sigma (6σ) and its implication in organizational development etc.
Organizational Change and Development:
This unit on Organizational Change & Development consists of Responsibility Charting, Conditions for Optimal Success & Role of Change Agent and Managing the Changes etc.
HRM in Banks:
This unit includes the topics such as Traditional Role of Human Resource Development in Banks, Expectations from Human Resource Department, Conflict of new initiatives with work culture and capacity, Major HRM challenges that Banks face, Core Banking and challenges in HR etc.
Important Topic:- CAIIB – INTRODUCTION OF REVISED SYLLABUS
In this unit that focuses on Knowledge management in Banks and the Need for Knowledge Management Officer in Banks, his/her Role in the Banks, Human Resource Management and Information Technology, Information and Database Management, Preparation and Updation of Manuals & Job cards, Linkages with Educational Institutions.
MODULE – B: Building an HR strategy (CAIIB HRM – B)
Building an HR Strategy:
This unit talks about how a Strategy is Formulated and how it is implemented; the Need to have a distinctive Human Resource strategy; connecting strategy to the organization, aligning HR Systems with decision frameworks, Relationship b/w Sustainable strategic success & performance of the organization and Execution of strategy & who are the personnel involved in it like CEO, Executive team, and line Managers, Succession Planning, HRD Audit, Effectiveness of HRD, HR practices that works best for banks.
This unit tries to further explain what Organizational Communication means; what are the Barriers to Communications and the Steps involved in effective communication.
Manpower Planning tries to focus on the Recruitment of Manpower, Selection, Placement, Promotion of Manpower and Recruitment vs. Outsourcing, the Concept and Feasibility of Outsourcing, advantages, disadvantages and constraints to it, Compensation; incentive system linked to productivity, dealing with attrition are discussed in here.

Performance Management and Appraisal Systems:
In this unit, Performance Appraisal System (PAS) is defined and the Role of PAS, Emerging Trends in PAS, 360-degree performance Appraisal, the difference b/w Appraisal & Feedback, Competency Mapping, Key Performance Areas (KPA) etc are defined here.
MODULE – C: Motivation, Training and Skill Development (CAIIB HRM – C)
Human implications of Organizations:
The human implications of Organizations, Learning & instructions, Theories of Motivation and their practical implications, Motivational strategies, Employee Behaviors, Learning Processes, Reward & Incentive schemes, Job enrichment, job rotation & Employee Development strategies & Techniques etc. form the part of this unit.
Training and Development:
This unit focuses on Attitude Development, its Role & Impact, Career Path Planning & Counseling, changing face of Banking, Identification of Training Needs etc are contained in this section.
This unit focuses on Related Subject Matters of Training, Training infrastructure in Banks, Outsourcing, On-the job training, Management of conflict b/w Training & Operations due to manpower constraints, Development of soft skills & communications are some of the few topics that you will read in this unit. Developing competencies through e-learning, virtual learning and self-directed learning; Training measurement and impact are also covered.

MODULE – D: Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (CAIIB HRM – D)
The personnel functions:
This unit focuses on Legal aspects of personnel functions, Trade Unionism & Industrial Relations; Collective Bargaining Concepts, Industrial Relations and Negotiations in the Indian Banking Industry; Bipartite Settlements in Banking, Employee Welfare; Policies & Schemes form this unit.
Grievance Redressal and Discipline:
In this unit, we will read about the Grievance Redressal & Discipline, its Mechanism & Processes & Domestic Enquiry, Role of Management & Functions, the need for a vigilance Department in Banks, Diversity & Gender Issues, Frauds in Banks, Risks attached to Delegation of Financial Powers; Conflict Management & Resolution, Precautions & Controls, how to Deal with the cases of Sexual harassment etc. are placed here.
Workers’ Participation in Management:
This unit includes Workers Participation in Management & Experience of Employee Participation in banking industry of India.
