JAIIB or Junior Associate of Indian Institute of Banker is a flagship course conducted by IIBF (Indian Institute for Banking & Finance) only for its members (anyone working in Recognised Banks [nationalized or Private Sector] and other Financial Institutions (FIs) that are Institutional Members of the Institute can submit the application to get the membership [on a life-time basis] of the Institute).

NOTE: IIBF has notified the revised syllabus for JAIIB/DB&F that is going to be implemented from May 2024 onwards. IIBF has just announced the new subjects for the course & but hasn’t yet announced the detailed syllabus, therefore, we will have to wait for the details by IIBF. IIBF 2024 JAIIB ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
You can write for JAIIB Exams if you:
- Are an ordinary member of IIBF (if you are not one yet and you are a banker you can apply for membership).
- Have passed twelfth standard (in any discipline or equivalent).
- Are working in Bank (Matric or not). Although you would need a letter of recommendation from your Bank Manager and then at IIBF’s discretion you can write the exam.
- Are subordinate staff of Recognized Banks or Financial Institutions in India, who are members of IIBF, provided you have passed 12th or equivalent?

JAIIB ELIGIBILITY FOR NON-MEMBERS
If you are not a banker yet but you still want to write for JAIIB because you want to be a banker in the near future, what you can do is write for DBF also known as Diploma in Banking & Finance. DBF Exams are also conducted by IIBF and it has the same syllabus as JAIIB. Therefore, equivalent to JAIIB.
Once you get employment in a bank, you can send this DBF Certificate along with your appointment letter to the IIBF Head Office to be converted into JAIIB.
The benefit of clearing DBF before joining the Bank is that you get an advance increment of one year when you join the bank along with the opportunity to prepare for CAIIB when your colleagues would be preparing for the CAIIB.

HOW TO APPLY FOR JAIIB APPLICATION FOR MAY ATTEMPT
You can apply for JAIIB Exams 2024 by following the process given below:
- Visit the JAIIB course page: IIBF and then log in with your membership number and password under the Apply for Exams online tab.
- Read the rules, syllabus & eligibility, and instructions for JAIIB carefully given on the new page.
- Select the JAIIB from the given examinations.
- Click on the Examination or Courses option available on the left side
- Log on with the membership no. and password.
- Carefully read the instructions & then accept.
- Enter all the details required in the application form and then preview them for any correction.
- Once checked for any correction, click on accept & Submit and then proceed to pay the application fee.
- Select the option for payment you want to pay with and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Once payment is successful, details of the transaction will be displayed on your screen and as well as be sent to your cell no. & e-mail.
- Take a printout of the form & payment details for future reference.

2023 MAY JAIIB EXAM PASSING CRITERIA
| MINIMUM MARKS | 50 out of 100 (in each paper)
or 250 out of 500 (subject to that you score at least 45 in each subject) |
| CREDITS | Retained till 3 years or 5 attempts from the time you applied for the first attempt. |
TIME LIMIT FOR PASSING 2023 MAY JAIIB
You will have 3 years (5 attempts) to pass JAIIB 2024 starting from the date you apply for the first attempt for JAIIB Exam.
If you do not clear JAIIB in the given time, you have to re-enroll yourself again for the Exam and your credits from previous attempts will be lost.
“CLASS OF PASS” CRITERIA
The awarding of the class will only be given to the candidates who clear the JAIIB in their First Physical Attempt i.e. if you are re-enrolling for the JAIIB Exam or giving it in your second attempt then you will not be considered for awarding the class.

CUT-OFF DATE FOR GUIDELINES/IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS FOR EXAMINATIONS:You are also required to keep yourself updated with the current developments and any changes therein. To ease the preparation in respect of keeping up with these updates & changes, IIBF has given cut-off dates, the developments up to that only that date are to be considered by you for the exams.
2023 JAIIB MAY ADMIT CARDThe admit cards for JAIIB 2024 will be available on the official site of IIBF under ‘Examination/Courses>Admit Letter’ to download/save/print after the successful registration of the examination. They will as well be emailed to your registered email ID. You will be required to produce the hard copy of Admit Card along with the Membership identity card or any other valid photo ID card in original at the exam venue. You can also download the hall ticket for JAIIB when IIBF updates the same. IIBF JAIIB RESULT MAY 2024After the exams are over, IIBF will declare the JAIIB 2023 RESULTS on its official site. IIBF also releases the answer keys of JAIIB Exams for the candidates so that they can check their possibility of clearing the exams themselves.
