HOW TO APPLY FOR MAY JAIIB 2023 & MAY / DEC CAIIB 2023 EXAMS?

JAIIB & CAIIB or as some of you might know of it as being the Examinations for the posts of Junior or Certified Associates of the Indian Institute of Banker respectively are the flagship courses offered by IIBF (Indian Institute of Banking and Finance) to bankers.

The examinations for JAIIB & CAIIB are usually conducted twice a year in the month of May/June & November/December.

Note: The schedule for the registration of the upcoming MAY JAIIB & JUNE CAIIB Exams has not been announced by IIBF on its official website.

PROCEDURE TO APPLY FOR MAY JAIIB/DB&F or MAY / JUNE CAIIB EXAMS 2023 

Previously, the registration forms of JAIIB & CAIIB were filled offline. They were to be sent through post to the Institute (IIBF). But now the form can only be filed through online mode through the official site of IIBF i.e:- IIBF.ORG 

You can follow the below steps to get yourself registered for either of the IIBF flagship exams:

1. Visit iibf.org.in
2. Click on ‘Apply for exams online’ > ‘members’.
3. Read rules/syllabus/eligibility & instructions carefully.
4. Select the examination you wish to apply (i.e JAIIB or CAIIB whichever you want to apply);
5. You will need to Log in with your membership number and password;
6. Carefully read the instructions and ‘accept’;
7. Click on ‘preview’ after filling in the details like:
   1. Name of the candidate,
   2. Father’s name,
   3. Mother’s name,
   4. Nationality of the candidate,
   5. Minority status of the candidate,
   6. Caste of the candidate,
   7. Marital status of the candidate,
   8. Service details of the candidate,
   9. Name of Community of the candidate,
   10. Aadhar number of the candidate,
   11. Address of the candidate,
   12. Examination centres nearest to the candidates’ working place
   13. Time slot for each paper (first-cum-first-serve basis) (Note: can’t be changed once the form is submitted),
   14. Educational Qualification details of the candidate,
   15. Other communication details (Mobile number & e-mail address), and
   16. Other important details as IIBF asks.
   17. Mode of the exam (Online)
   18. Medium of the Exam (i.e. language: Hindi or English)
   19. Centre for the exam as also the place of work etc;

(Ensure that your Mobile number & e-mail address are correct to receive the application confirmation and various communication from the Institute).

1. Check the form for spelling & details before you click on ‘accept and submit’ to pay the examination fees;
2. Select the payment option you want to pay with (credit/debit card, net banking) and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

(After the submission of your payment information, please wait for 1 to 5 seconds (which may also take longer) for the intimation from the server. DO NOT press ‘submit’ again or the Back or Refresh button).

On successful completion of payment, the details of the transaction will be displayed on your screen and the same will be emailed/SMSed to you as a record.

WHAT IF YOUR REGISTRATION OR PAYMENT OF JAIIB / DBF / SOB / CAIIB IS UNSUCCESSFUL?

Note: If the registration process is unsuccessful or incomplete, an appropriate message will be displayed on the screen and then you will have to follow the online process again.

In case the payment gets debited from your bank account but still the payment transaction is unsuccessful or incomplete, Institute will refund the entire fee electronically within 10-12 working days from the date of transaction (although because the processing of refund is dependent on multiple organizations and working days/holidays of bank/financial Institutes this refund time is only approximate).

Any communication in regard to online exam fees should be sent to iibfexam@iibf.org.in if you still don’t get your refund after the stipulated period.

ELIGIBILITY for 2023 MAY / DEC EXAMS of JAIIB & CAIIB

You can write the JAIIB or CAIIB if you fulfil the eligibility criteria for these exams. The same for both exams are given below:

JAIIB 2023 MAY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

You will be eligible to register for the Junior Associates of the Indian Institute of Bankers if you fulfil the following criteria:

• You are a registered member of IIBF

• You have passed 12th or equivalent (in any discipline).
• If you are working in a bank (whether passed Matriculation or not) and have a letter of recommendation from your Bank Manager then IIBF can allow you to write the JAIIB at its discretion.
• You have passed 12th or equivalent and are a subordinate staff of a Bank (Banks/Financial Institutions that are recognized in India & are members of the IIBF)

Note: Those who are ineligible as per the above criteria for JAIIB can instead apply for DBF i.e. Diploma in Banking & Finance. It has the same syllabus as JAIIB & once you become a banker you can convert your DBF Certification into JAIIB.

CAIIB MAY / DEC 2023 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

You will be eligible to register for the Certified Associates of the Indian Institute of Bankers if you fulfil the following criteria:

• You have passed JAIIB
• Your Subscription of Membership is not in arrears.

ADMIT CARD & SELF DECLARATION FORM:

After you get successfully registered for the exam (either of JAIIB/DBF or CAIIB), Real-time admit cards will be generated. You can save/download/print them as you wish and they will also be sent to you at your registered mail ID.

To access them, you would need to log in with your Membership/Registration No. You would be required to take the hard copies of the Admit Letter along with the Proof of Identity (POI) & a duly completed Self-declaration form at the exam venue.
